About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist to join our team at Cleveland College Preparatory School. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and behavioral goals of all students, with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement intervention strategies that meet the unique needs of students.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to inform instruction and develop individualized education plans.
  • Write and implement behavior improvement plans to support students in achieving their academic and behavioral goals.
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives that align with state and federal standards.
  • Utilize research-based best practices to design and deliver instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities that promote a positive school culture.
About You
  • Current state license holder with expertise in special education.
  • Knowledge of state and federal standards, including Common Core and IEP requirements.
  • Experience working in a full inclusion or co-teaching model, with a focus on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment, with a focus on frequent observations, debriefs, and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
