Auto Claims Representative Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Auto Claims Representative to join our Personal Lines Auto team. This role will be based in our Boston office, where you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving first and third-party personal auto property damage claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate claims for coverage, liability, and damages
  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other parties related to an auto accident
  • Ensure timely disposition of claims in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Manage workload through claims management and imaging systems
  • Determine liability of parties involved in a loss, including application of comparative negligence

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of auto claims handling experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, text, email, and other written correspondence
  • Demonstrated level of competency in time management, priority setting, and customer focus
  • Experience using a claims management and imaging system
