Academic Nursing Instructor Position in Durham, NC

We are seeking a skilled Academic Nursing Instructor to join our team at Durham Technical Community College. This part-time position requires teaching contact hours per week as assigned, with the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including day, evening, and/or weekend responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a graduate degree from an accredited institution, with a current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in North Carolina. They should have background experience in Medical-Surgical, Maternal-Child, and/or Psychiatric Nursing, as well as two calendar years of full-time employment or equivalent experience in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse in a hospital or primary care facility.

A minimum of one year of current teaching experience with appropriate clinical supervisory skills at the Associate Degree level or above is required. The successful candidate will be able to teach effectively, enforce academic policy and procedures, and contribute to the development and enforcement of policies related to student admission, progression, and graduation.

The estimated salary for this position is $33.15 - $37.19 hourly, based on location and requirements. We offer a complete benefits package to full-time employees, including health care, dental, vision, retirement, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing or graduate degree from an accredited institution
