Academic Sociologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Sociology to join our team at Durham Technical Community College.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position teaching sociology courses. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in sociology with 18 graduate semester hours in sociology and experience teaching at a university or community college.

• Teach all assigned courses for the full duration of scheduled instruction
• Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with course objectives
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of academic programs
• Stay current with developments in the field of instruction and participate in professional development opportunities

• Master's degree in sociology with 18 graduate semester hours in sociology
• Experience teaching at a university or community college
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use modern instructional technology

The salary range for this position is $34.80 - $37.19 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.
