The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a solid history in cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly comprehend the project scope and specifications by reviewing documentation, engaging with clients, and conducting site assessments
  • Gather essential documents such as blueprints, schematics, and project guidelines
  • Identify critical cost variables and perform research to ascertain anticipated labor and material expenses
  • Solicit bids and negotiate with vendors to obtain optimal pricing
  • Prepare and present estimates to project leaders
  • Utilize appropriate software for budgeting and forecasting
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
  • Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) is advantageous
  • Prior experience in a cost estimation role is preferred
  • Capability to project construction costs and familiarity with estimation methodologies
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficient in relevant software tools (RS Means, Gordian, PlanSwift)
  • Exceptional research, writing, and negotiation capabilities
