BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Medically Assisted Treatment programs in Oakland, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient care, medical evaluation, and establishing dosing levels for our patients. You will also interact with regulatory bodies, train and manage subordinate physician extenders, and provide MAT services directly to patients.
Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Plan and supervise provision of treatment for patients, including regular review and notes in the patient's record, according to established CSAT and state guidelines.
- Medical Director: Initiate, alter, and terminate replacement narcotic therapy medications following strict protocols meeting Federal and state guidelines.
- Supervision: Supervise the administration and dispensing of medications, confer with patients' private physicians as needed, and examine staff after on-the-job accidents or injuries.
- Education and Confidentiality: Provide patient education specific to various disease processes within our scope of practice and maintain strict patient, employee, company, and computer confidentiality.
- Qualifications: Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine, Board Certified in a residency, Current California license, Ability to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine, and completion of the 8-hour buprenorphine training.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Addiction Medicine and ability to sign off on NP/PA charts.
- Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $120.00 to $150.00 an hour, and qualified part-time employees receive a 401K Retirement Plan, Accrued Sick Time, Candidate Referral Program, Bereavement Leave, Jury Duty and Witness Duty Leave, and BayMark University Learning.
