Compensation:
Starting Pay Range: $15.87 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This position provides essential administrative support as a single point of entry into services offered by the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Respond to after-hours requests for new services, including handling fax or email referrals.
2. Maintain an accurate and timely schedule master.
3. Conduct telephonic follow-ups for missed appointments and send appropriate mailings for client care.
4. Collaborate with local agencies to gather referral and client information as needed.
5. Keep an updated regional resource list to assist callers seeking resources instead of direct services.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
1. Document the content of telephonic screenings accurately.
2. Collect necessary information for administrative intake, including Medicaid verification.
3. Scan and upload all relevant documents to the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
4. Utilize motivational techniques to engage individuals who miss appointments.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide crisis de-escalation and coordinate access to crisis unit services when necessary.
2. Answer suicide hotline calls promptly, de-escalate situations, and document interactions accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
2. Preferred: Two years of relevant experience working with individuals receiving treatment for mental health disorders, substance abuse disorders, or co-occurring disorders.
3. Must be at least eighteen years of age.
4. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
5. Reliable transportation is essential.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Upon completion of training, this position will primarily be remote with some on-site requirements. A quiet and secure workspace is necessary as this role will involve handling sensitive calls.
