Job Description

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our hotel renovation projects. As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Conduct ongoing and final punch lists, devise and monitor project schedules, execute change orders as needed, and manage project RFIs.\
  • Business Management: Compile vendor and sub-contractor estimates, balance budget, and instigate regular meetings with hotel representatives.\
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Source local sub-contractors, maintain relationships, ensure compliance and documentation of employees, develop and communicate scopes of work, and maintain clean, safe working conditions.\
  • Material Management: Coordinate FF&E/material receiving, inventory, and installation, track storage bins, and ensure their security.\
  • Safety Management: Provide workers with safety equipment and informational materials, conduct safety meetings and trainings, and file accident reports.\
  • Qualifications: 2-7 years of commercial construction experience, proficiency with construction documents and plans, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project, and a valid US driver's license.\
  • Preferred Qualifications: Educational background in construction or architecture, direct hotel construction-related experience, fluency in Spanish, enthusiasm for travel, familiarity with construction documents and plans, and experience with PlanGrid.\
  • Working Conditions: The Construction Superintendent will interface with Hotel Rehabs partners, hotel representatives, local sub-contractors, and vendors. Work occurs mostly Mondays-Saturdays, with occasional Sunday and/or after-hours work.\
  • Physical Requirements: On-site work requires energy and stamina, handling up to 50 pounds of material at a time, and being busy on feet for several hours at a time.\
