Job Summary:

Are you a skilled pastry professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for creating delicious desserts and a strong desire to learn and grow? We are seeking a talented Pastry Cook to join our team at Burma Food Group.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work closely with our executive chef and sous chef to develop and execute all dessert offerings
* Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen, ensuring a successful working environment
* Prepare ingredients and handle baking and other kitchen equipment
* Create pastries, baked goods, and confections, following a set recipe
* Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure a beautiful and tasteful presentation
* Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations

Requirements:

* 1-3 years of experience in fine dining or casual dining in a high-volume kitchen
* Strong knowledge of food and cooking techniques, including pastry production, portioning, and plating
* Culinary degree in pastry strongly preferred
* Ability to stand and walk for an extended period, with the ability to move and lift at least 40 pounds at a time
* Excellent verbal communication and positive interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural and diverse team
* Bilingual a plus
