Job Summary:

The Transportation Assistant will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from outside physician appointments and events, as well as within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport and assist residents to outside physician visits in a safe manner.
  • Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments.
  • Provide one-on-one monitoring for residents deemed an elopement risk on outside visits.
  • Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
  • Maintain resident documentation records.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Current, valid Driver's License in the State of employment.
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter such a program and graduate within 120 days from date of employment.
  • Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
  • Chauffeur's License Required.
