Job Overview

Xerox is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our computer systems and networks to ensure high levels of availability and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure high levels of availability and security.
  • Participate in capacity planning and strategic goal development for systems and software.
  • Coordinate with network engineering and business application functions to implement desktop and server systems.
  • Assist in providing Helpdesk Support and act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests.
  • Manage operating systems, end-user software, and communications solutions.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data and perform network and security audits.
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems.
  • Practice network asset management and support application development teams.
  • Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in Microsoft Server.
  • Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, including blade servers and SANs.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows Server.
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data management and documentation.
  • Good understanding of Xerox's goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic utilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and customer service orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
