Job Overview:

We are in search of a Plastic Film Production Specialist for our First Quality Print & Packaging operations. This role is essential for the effective and safe management of machinery within our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment consistently.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and guidelines.
  • Document machine operations and any troubleshooting efforts accurately.
  • Uphold quality standards for all products produced.
  • Ensure timely and organized availability of necessary materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machinery and surrounding workspace.
  • Support maintenance teams as needed.
  • Assist in training new employees as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Embody First Quality's core values and principles.
  • Exhibit flexibility in work hours and a commitment to quality production.
  • Engage in a challenging learning environment and show a willingness to learn.
  • Participate in food safety initiatives and report any food safety concerns to supervisors or quality assurance personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Complete all mandatory training and assessments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of experience in a manufacturing role is necessary.
  • Experience with blown film processes is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with computer systems is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Work in a noisy manufacturing setting requiring hearing protection and safety footwear.
  • Utilize additional personal protective equipment as required for specific tasks.
Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for the entirety of a 12-hour shift.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Occasional climbing and reaching tasks.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling activities throughout the shift.
  • Regular lifting or carrying of products.
  • Consistent use of hands for various tasks.
  • Daily maintenance of cleanliness in the work area.
  • Balance is required for certain tasks.
