Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at First Quality. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating a machine in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain the extrusion machine, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of the produced film, adhering to strict quality standards and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Materials Management: Ensure timely and orderly placement of materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with maintenance personnel and other team members to achieve production goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems, conducting root cause analysis to optimize machine performance.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Comply with GMP regulations, SQF guidelines, and other relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One to two years of manufacturing experience, preferably in blown film production.
  • Skills: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and work in a team-oriented setting.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a noisy manufacturing environment, necessitating the use of hearing protection and other personal protective equipment. The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, and occasional lifting, bending, and climbing.
