Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician to provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform various clinical tasks. This is a full-time position, working 8a-5p, with no on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications safely under the direction of a physician or other medical personnel
  • Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians
  • Provide care according to an established nursing plan
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
  • Ensure patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forwarding charts as appropriate
  • Communicate systematic report to other care providers
  • Assist in the coordination of care delivery; utilize resources to promote the continuum of care
  • Employ strategies to promote health in a safe environment
  • Document progress toward the attainment of outcomes
  • Use quality and evidence-based practice to deliver and improve care
  • Triage telephone calls for referral to other clinical team members
Requirements:
  • Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC) required
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing needs of assigned patients
