Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Creative Marketing Strategy is responsible for shaping the overall aesthetic and emotional resonance of Grainger's marketing initiatives directed at customers.
This leader will activate customer goals through impactful marketing creativity that aligns with the brand, is free of errors, and performs exceptionally.
You will facilitate and empower all facets of the creative team- Design, Copy, Editorial, Video.
Your Responsibilities:
Establish a comprehensive creative vision while guiding and motivating a team focused on our Grainger customers and continuous enhancement. Lead the in-house creative team encompassing Design, Copy, Editorial, and Video while managing daily operations. Elevate creative output through strategic insights and the ability to convert data into compelling audience-focused experiences. Consistently inspire and foster the development of innovative creative strategies. Build relationships with marketing and leadership teams. Promote an environment of efficiency and error-free work across the team. Understand the financial aspects of our business and articulate the business rationale for key objectives. You will report to the Director of Brand, Creative, and GCAN Marketing.
Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience, including 7-10 years in a managerial role leading teams in graphic design, copywriting, web design, photography, and videography.
A BA/BS/BFA is required (MA preferred) in advertising, marketing, communications, or a design-related field. Proven success in a large multi-channel organization or agency setting. Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Systems and Creative Suite (AEM, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.).
Familiarity with CMS, email development, HTML, and CSS. Understanding of business-to-business marketing strategies. Extensive marketing copy and design skills for direct response print and digital media (email, catalog, direct response, publication, video, and website production), as well as events (e.g., tradeshows).
