Production Line Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Production Line Associate to join our team at House of Raeford Farms. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in preparation of processing poultry products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a knife or scissors to cut up or debone chicken as it moves down the production line.
  • Check for bones and excess fat attached, and remove them as needed.
  • Participate as an active team member of production in assigned area.
  • Perform repetitive tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend monthly or annual meetings and trainings as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in cool or warm temperatures.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of production.
  • Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees' stations (less than 2 feet).
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
  • Must wear correct job-specific PPE as designated by company policy.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.

  • Daily uses hand strength to grasp tools, supplies, and equipment.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent to the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Often work in dusty, humid, and heated environments; as well as cold, moist environments.
