The Executive Director of Program Management will understand agency work products to oversee a team delivering work for at least one significant client book of business. He/She will partner with other departments to resolve operational issues, champion continuous optimization of processes, and advocate for the overall PM team.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Lead: The Executive Director is responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables that power client satisfaction, meet business requirements, and balance client and agency economics.
- Delivery Structure and Vision: This role defines delivery structure and overall vision on projects and is responsible for overseeing and directing multiple projects within a given client relationship.
- Multi-Million Dollar Marketing Programs: Structure and lead multi-million dollar marketing programs comprised of multi-disciplinary resources and parallel lines of business.
- Project Management: Lead a team in management of multiple, concurrent, large-scale projects.
- Profitability: Ensure profitability through monitoring of multi-brand roadmap, resource management, expense control, and risk mitigation.
- Client Relationship: Partner with Group Account Director and Account Directors to manage overall client relationship, and actively promote new ideas to enhance client's business and grow revenue.
- Creative Management: Partner with Creative to effectively shepherd and manage the evolution of creative work, ensuring the highest quality at all points from concept through delivery.
- Team Partnerships: Build strong partnerships across teams and internal agencies with Integrated Media, Data and Analytics, Commerce, Public Relations, Brand Strategy, Social Media, Production, Finance, and Resource Management departments to ensure connections and collaborations happen where they should and always in support of client's business goals.
- Solutions-Oriented Leadership: Provide solutions-oriented leadership with an expert ability to creatively solve complex problems with a positive, professional demeanor and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Team Management: Manage multiple direct reports, set career and capability goals with them, and mentor them into Project Management leaders.
- Team Compliance: Enforce team compliance to high organizational standards and professionalism.
- Discipline Representation: Represent and advocate for the Project Management discipline with organization, agency, client, and third-party leadership.
- Recruiting: Participate in team and cross-capability recruiting, interviewing, and staffing.
- Training: Attend training seminars and continuing education as offered.
Day-to-day, your role includes:
- Manage Multi-Channel Engagements: Manage multi-channel engagements.
- Process Development: Work with key organizational and client leadership to develop and instill processes, workflows, and tools that support the profitable delivery of client work.
- Operational Process Development: Be the go-to business partner for operational process development and implementation, organizational structure and design, and risk identification and mitigation.
- Communications and Documentation: Maintain and enforce high standards of communications and documentation, including status and financial reports, timelines, scopes, change orders, burn reports, and forecasting, best practices, and asset management.
- Risk Management: Proactively manage, provide guidance, and develop clear communication standards around program and business-related risks, including mitigation planning and crisis management.
- Cross-Functional Teams: Engage and lead cross-functional teams through the FY planning process while merging it with overall creative and production timelines.
- Campaign Management: Actively manage a portfolio of campaigns with interdependencies, in partnership with capability leads and Project Management team.
- Business Needs: Work with capability leads to understand business needs and help identify and solve issues to meet business goals.
- Constructive Feedback: Demonstrate the ability to deliver constructive feedback while outlining and facilitating development plans where needed.
