Job Title: Overnight Peer Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at The Affiliated Sante Group. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will play a vital role in providing empathetic and potentially life-saving care to individuals in crisis.

Job Summary:

The Overnight Peer Recovery Specialist will work closely with our team to assess, evaluate, and perform crisis intervention techniques. You will develop crisis plans for continuation of services related to individual clients, document interactions using CRS procedures, and participate in required trainings. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in performing danger assessments, crisis assessments, environmental assessments, and lethality assessments
  • Perform on-scene assessments and treatment plans
  • Effectively perform crisis intervention, including de-escalation, crisis planning, and implementation
  • Design appropriate referral recommendations using available community resources
  • Work with families and involved persons to de-escalate situations, make crisis plans, and enlist cooperation with recommended treatment
  • Document interactions using CRS procedures
  • Participate in and complete all required trainings
  • Provide education in the community about the agency and all components of CRS when needed
  • Check work email at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Provide mentoring to interns and new staff
Requirements:
  • Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year professional experience
  • Three (3) years in full recovery AND five (5) years lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder for yourself or your family
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance
