Electronics Quality Assurance Engineer

MetroSpec Technology is seeking a skilled Electronics Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role involves inspecting and testing circuit boards and SMT electronic components to ensure they meet production specifications and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test printed circuit boards and mounted components for compliance to IPC-610 standards.
- Rework and Repair: Accurately repair/remove and replace SMT components at efficient production speed without damaging sensitive components and boards.
- Documentation: Label and document signoff.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience performing detailed inspection and 1-2 years experience in hand placement and soldering in production.
- Skills and Knowledge: Good finger dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, ability to read and write in English, and basic math skills. Surface Mount Technology (SMT) electronic component assembly, IPC-610 training/certification, hot air rework station, pneumatic solder paste, and electronic testing (DVM).
- Attributes and Success Factors: Reliability, demonstrated ability to focus on production activities for 10-hour shifts, high attention to detail, organized, timely work output, positive outlook, and multi-tasking.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
