Job Summary:

Queen's Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Primary Care team in Kapolei. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and the care team to create a seamless environment of care. You will develop protocols for care, serve as a healthcare researcher, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care services, including obtaining patient histories, providing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing procedures within the scope of practice and licensure.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and social and economic factors.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of patient care and promote health education.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Current Hawaii State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant in good standing.
  • Board certification in one of the following areas: Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive authority for non-controlled and controlled substances.
  • Credentialing and privileging required.
  • Current BLS certification.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of nursing experience or successful completion of an APRN Fellowship Program.
  • One year of clinical experience working as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
