Accounting Specialist Job Description

KEITH Mfg. Co. is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, statements, and collections. You will also be responsible for Service Billing and Compliance, Sales tax certificate maintenance and tracking, Credit checks and setup of new customers, and providing backup for reporting production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, statements, and collections
  • Ensure Service Billing and Compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Maintain Sales tax certificates and track sales tax payments
  • Conduct credit checks and set up new customers
  • Provide backup for reporting production
  • Design and implement a system to report information from the production floor to the ERP system
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory tracking
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, and revenues per value stream and report to management
  • Keep track of metrics and provide feedback to the production floor to support improvements
  • Analyze overhead expenses and update the ERP system to reflect changes
  • Assist with documentation compliance with shipping internationally
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required)
  • May be required to pass employer performance tests, including pre-employment drug screening
  • Associates degree in accounting or related field with minimum of 2 years accounting work experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proper internal controls
  • Proficiency with ERP systems required
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and time management skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starting team player
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
