Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiogram Tech Lead to join our team at Palmetto General Hospital. As a key member of our Non-Invasive Vascular Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the overall function of the Echo Department and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the Echo Department and staff to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Perform adult echocardiography examinations competently and take on-call responsibilities.
  • Monitor supplies, maintain equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with maintaining Infection Control standards, transport patients, and participate in Risk Management.
  • Promote Guest Relations, actively seek Personal Improvement, and maintain Inter and Intra-departmental relations.
Requirements
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to detect changes in human physiological condition.
  • Able to function calmly in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Experience in echocardiographic examination of patients in any setting, including acute care settings.
  • Perform duties and conduct interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Holds current BLS card and ACLS card preferred.
  • Registry in Cardiac Sonography preferred.
  • Associate degree in cardiovascular field or related field of study.
