Job Overview

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Witco is in search of dedicated, skilled, and dependable individuals to enhance our Lathe Department. Our facility operates a fleet of 16 CNC Lathes equipped with Okuma and FANUC controls, providing a robust work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust CNC Lathes and bar feeders with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Proficient in G-Code Programming
  • Experience with Mill-Turn operations – both 4 & 6 Axis
  • Calculate and configure controls for speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depth
  • Input, retrieve, or modify programs as necessary
  • Secure and align fixtures, work holdings, cutting tools, and accessories
  • Replace standard cutting tools and recalibrate machines to the correct specifications
  • Adjust basic offsets to ensure part integrity
  • Identify malfunctions or conditions that are out of tolerance
  • Maintain tight tolerances (less than .001")
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Understand GD&T principles
  • Work with various materials in machining processes
  • Utilize standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges

Possessing your own standard inspection equipment is advantageous. Witco provides a gauge and tool purchase program to assist our machinists in enhancing their toolkit.

Employment Details:

This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401K plan, pre-tax AFLAC offerings, and more.

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Lunch Break: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Our facility is designed for short-run production, typically handling build sizes from 10 to 1000 pieces.
