Precision Gear Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced gear machinist to join our team at Witco Inc. in Yale, Michigan. As a key member of our precision CNC turning, milling, and gear cutting team, you will be responsible for setting up and running our gear machines, including the Fellows 10-4 CNC shaper, Fellows 7A shaper, Barber-Coleman 16-36 hob, Barber-Coleman 6-10 hob, Modul ZFW hob, and Red Ring GCU-2535 shaver.

• Set up and operate gear machines to produce high-quality parts
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on gear machines
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient and effective production processes
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and quality

• 3-5 years of experience in gear machining and CNC operation
• Strong understanding of tooling applications and machine operations
• Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors
• Proficiency in computerized machine control media and standard cutting tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
