Career Opportunity: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist at Methodist Children's Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals who share your passion for delivering high-quality care to patients and families.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients. Your duties will include:
  • Performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to evaluate patient needs and response to treatment.
  • Administering oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy as ordered by physicians.
  • Assisting with placement of artificial airways and initiating mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitoring patients receiving invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and adjusting settings as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential or eligibility for registration.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a hospital setting.
