Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Christus Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, assessing and addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in perinatal nursing, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • RN License in state of employment or compact.
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.
  • Current ACLS and NRP certification.
