We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal team at Christus Health. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferably in Perinatal care.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- RN License in the state of employment or compact.
- Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.
- Current ACLS and NRP certification.
Part-time position with a TBD work schedule.
