About the Role

The Senior Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of prescriptions at SelectQuote. This position requires a high level of expertise in pharmacy operations, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare prescriptions for dispensing by pharmacists, adhering to all prescription error prevention procedures.
  • Process orders, affix medication labels, and package prescriptions and over-the-counter medication for pharmacist review.
  • Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately in a highly efficient manner.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to Pharmacy Technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Verify the accuracy of patient and prescription information, referring any discrepancies to pharmacists.
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality regarding patient medications and illnesses.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical or manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure for the state of Indiana for a minimum of 2 years.
