Job Summary:

The Registered Dietitian will support the Medically Tailored Meals team with nutrition planning, program development, and quality assurance. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition and dietetics, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake and program eligibility for Medically Tailored Meals services
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition plans
  • Review and monitor meal and/or grocery plans for Medically Tailored Meals
  • Ensure menu options are equally nutritious and culturally appropriate
  • Plan and conduct routine nutrition workshops and trainings
  • Coordinate with other agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in weekly case conference meetings and program trainings
  • Maintain accurate participant records and generate reports as requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related field
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Food handler's certification and valid California Class C Driver License
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis

Working Conditions:

This position is funded by a grant and its continuation is contingent upon the renewal of the grant funding. Employment in this role is dependent on the ongoing availability of funding, and there is no guarantee of continuation beyond the current funding period.
