Facilities Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will be responsible for managing the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, power industrial equipment, and security maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily work and safety of associates through tracking software and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Assign and monitor facility projects for quality and timely completion.
- Train associates on preferred work methods (PMWs) and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Perform management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Develop business relationships with third-party vendors to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage the proper selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of Company assets.
- Prepare budget, profit plans, and capital requests as required.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, associate observations, and routine safety inspections.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience.
- Working knowledge of ammonia and Freon systems.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations and governing bodies.
- Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain co-worker relationships.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Strong problem-solving and organization skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and strong leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Possession of valid state Driver's license.
- Certificate, licenses, and registrations in refrigeration/HVAC preferred.
- Level 1 Ammonia Operation Certification preferred.
- Powered Industrial Equipment Certification preferred.
- Certificate in fleet trade/mechanic preferred.
