About the Role

Prysmian Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Inspect, install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including power circuits, switchgear, and emergency systems.
  • System Design and Redesign: Design and/or redesign electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems, power circuits, and control circuits as assigned.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Rebuild and/or replace, lubricate, and maintain large and small electric motors.
  • Facility Lighting: Maintain and install facility lighting systems.
  • Safety Switches: Inspect and set safety switches.
  • Switchgear Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair low and medium voltage switchgear.
  • Programmable Controllers: Troubleshoot and install programmable controllers and associated components.
  • Plant Operations: Make visual inspections of plant operations, ensuring that operational problems have been located and corrected.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition parts and supplies to assist in the maintenance of spare parts inventory.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records and prepare regular and special reports on electrical and electronic systems.
  • Communication: Maintain communications with production and maintenance personnel for orderly execution of duties.
  • EH&S Compliance: Observe all EHS rules and procedures.
  • Work Environment: Maintain an orderly and clean work area to assure a desirable and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of a technical school and 1 year of experience, OR minimum of 3 years practical experience with various types of facility support equipment and production machinery.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
  • Knowledge of Automation: Demonstrate knowledge of PLC's and automation.
  • Mechanical Systems: Understand mechanical systems such as pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Electrical Systems: Ability to install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work well with others in a team environment.
