Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Technician to join our team at Stryten Energy. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with controls engineers to develop long-term solutions for automation issues
  • Implement and maintain zero-injury workplace practices, minimizing Pb blood level exposure levels
  • Coordinate and deliver maintenance training programs related to electrical and control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and controls systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, and digital/analog I/O
  • Identify best practices to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs
  • Develop and implement programming modifications to factory automation systems
  • Provide hardware and software support to the plant automation network
  • Assist in developing documentation for new and existing plant automation and control systems

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in industrial electronics and controls or 10 years of industrial electrical and controls experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with Allen Bradley Programmed Logic Control related products and ladder diagram logic
  • Above-average troubleshooting skills and computer skills, including Microsoft products and PLC programming

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
