POSITION SUMMARY

Parent Partners are individuals who have personal experience as primary caregivers for youth facing significant mental health challenges. They are certified or eligible to be certified as Parent Support Providers (PSP) by the National Federation of Families. These professionals deliver direct services to families and caregivers within their designated Family Guidance Center or Family Court Liaison Branch. Parent Partners collaborate closely with families and their assigned Care Coordinators and Treatment Teams to ensure that the needs of the family are addressed effectively. They work directly with each family to tailor services according to their specific requests and actively participate in meetings to ensure that the family's voice is prioritized.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of six months of experience is required. Candidates must have personal experience as primary caregivers for youth with serious mental health challenges and must be certified or eligible for certification as a Parent Support Provider (PSP) by the National Federation of Families in Children's Mental Health or an equivalent organization.
