Position Overview:

The role involves working collaboratively within a commercial laundry environment. The individual will be accountable for the efficient, safe, and precise management of items entering and exiting the laundry facility.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of this position encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Removing garments and other items from designated areas.
  • Manually folding and organizing items into specified bundle sizes for processing.
  • Identifying and separating items that do not conform to quality standards, including any damages or stains, and communicating these findings appropriately.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment while adhering to best practices in all operational tasks.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • The ability to comprehend all necessary training materials and instructions, both written and verbal.
  • A foundational understanding of basic mathematical concepts.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliability in maintaining attendance as per the scheduled shifts, which may include weekends and overtime as needed.

Work Environment and Safety Considerations:

This position is conducted in a warehouse setting, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential job functions. The role involves repetitive tasks throughout the shift and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs. Physical activities include bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Educational Background:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
