Position Overview:
As a key member of our operational team, you will engage in essential tasks within a commercial laundry environment. Your primary responsibility will be the efficient and precise management of textiles as they move through the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Removing garments and other items from designated areas for processing.
- Expertly folding and organizing textiles into specified bundle sizes for transportation.
- Conducting visual inspections to identify and separate items that do not meet quality standards, including any defects such as rips or stains, and reporting these findings accordingly.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace while adhering to best practices in all operational tasks.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong ability to comprehend training materials and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills to assist in the organization of merchandise.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Reliability in meeting attendance expectations, with flexibility for shift work, including weekends and potential overtime.
Work Environment and Safety Considerations:
This role is situated in a warehouse environment, where you may encounter varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise levels. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential job functions. The position requires repetitive movements throughout the shift and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs. Additionally, candidates should be prepared for physical activities such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Certification Requirements:
All candidates must meet the necessary qualifications as outlined by the company.
