Textile Folding Specialist

Position Overview:
As a key member of our operational team, you will engage in the efficient processing of textiles within a commercial laundry environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and precise handling of garments as they move through the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Your essential duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Removing garments and other items from designated areas.
- Manually folding and organizing items into specified bundles for further processing.
- Identifying and separating items that do not meet quality standards due to defects such as rips, tears, or stains, and reporting these issues accordingly.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace while adhering to best practices throughout all production activities.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to comprehend training materials and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- A basic understanding of mathematics.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends and overtime as necessary.
Work Environment and Safety Considerations:
This role is conducted in a warehouse setting, which may expose you to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, as well as dust and noise. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The position requires repetitive movements throughout the shift and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs. Additionally, candidates should be prepared for physical activities such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications may be beneficial but are not mandatory.
