Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at South Central Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to ultrasound imaging, including patient preparation, exam procedures, and image analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound exams on patients, adhering to department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and physician orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of exams.
- Practice safe procedures and adhere to safety measures at all times, including infection control and radiation safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Completion of an AMA-approved radiology program.
- Current Mississippi State Board of Health Medical Radiation Technologist license.
- Registered Technologist (R.T.) under the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- CPR/BLS certification.
The Ultrasound Technologist must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation, noise, and infectious diseases. Regularly scheduled shifts may include day, night, and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
