Contract Manager Job Description

KPMG-UnitedStates is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our Enterprise Commercial Contracting team. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of SLG contracts, implementing firm policies and procedures, and providing guidance to professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contract portfolio by retaining executed contracts and supporting document and information gathering for quarterly business reviews, internal audits, and client claims.
  • Act as end-to-end single point of contact throughout the contract management process, escalating to leadership when necessary.
  • Regularly and effectively interface with business partners and professionals and external clients regarding execution of responsibilities and to drive desired outcomes.
  • Execute tactical plans that support strategic objectives and establish credibility across peer group and ECC leaders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in managing a portfolio of SLG contracts, procurement or in another capacity directly reviewing, drafting, or negotiating contracts, preferably in the professional services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; Master's certificate or industry certifications and membership in the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) preferred.
  • Ability to identify contract risks and mitigations and identify, analyze, and articulate improvement opportunities based on deep understanding of contract lifecycle management, problematic provisions, market trends, and risk tolerances.
  • Experience with multiple contract types including but not limited to IDIQs, MSAs, STCs, prime contracts, subcontracts, and task orders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Graphs, Macros), Project.
