SalaryThe starting salary for this position is $57,000, with opportunities for additional compensation through our Teacher Career Pathway. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) plan and paid time off.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly qualified English teacher to join our team at IDEA Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, a strong commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
The English teacher will be responsible for teaching English language arts to students in grades 9-12, including literature, grammar, and composition. The teacher will also be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year educational institution and a valid teaching certification in English language arts. Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is preferred, but not required.
Applicants should also possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment.
