We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join Medical Oncology Associates of San Diego as a New Patient Coordinator.

This role is responsible for coordinating new patient referrals, managing patient expectations, and verifying insurance eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate new patient referrals from outside facilities and compile necessary records and information.
  • Proactively reach out to patients to schedule consultation appointments and manage their expectations leading up to the appointment.
  • Assist patients with new patient registration paperwork and verify insurance eligibility accurately and thoroughly.
  • Follow up on incomplete referrals that are missing records or authorizations and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a healthcare organization is preferred.
Working Conditions:

This position functions indoors in a medical environment, exposing employees to moderate noise levels and interruptions.

Compensation:

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience.
