About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Anesthesia Department. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in monitoring anesthesia for both critical and non-critical cases.
Qualifications:
- Current CVT/LVT/RVT or equivalent educational background is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Midshift: Wednesday through Saturday, 2 PM - 12 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of small animal medicine, including pharmacology, proper restraint techniques, venipuncture, and laboratory testing.
- In-depth understanding of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes.
- Expertise in anesthesia induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patient recovery.
- Collaboration with board-certified Anesthesiologists.
- Radiograph positioning and capture.
- Effective communication with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Application of Fear Free handling techniques to ensure safe and stress-free interactions.
