Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit reviews and examinations of financial institutions to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with other examiners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Represent the Texas Department of Banking at industry events and conferences.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in banking regulations and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • At least six years of credit review experience with a bank regulatory agency, credit review firm, financial institution, or asset management resolution firm.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience with a financial institution.
  • Completion of graduate banking school.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
