Job Overview

The Parts Specialist II plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to NJDOT employees, ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment. This position requires strong inventory control, data entry, and customer service skills, with occasional driving duties to pick up parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service, including attention to detail and adherence to MANCON's SOPs and Safety Manual.
  • Meet and greet customers, review requisition forms, and answer questions regarding part availability.
  • Drive vehicles to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts, provide company documentation to vendors, and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Assist in generating invoices, entering vendor receiving documents, and performing weekly inventory cycle counts.
  • Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance, provide 24-hour support, and travel to vendor locations as needed.
Requirements
  • 1 year of computer experience
  • 4 years of auto/HD truck parts experience
  • 24-hour availability
  • Valid Driver's License with two years driving experience
  • Obtain and maintain forklift license
Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work is mostly performed in storerooms and warehouses with uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions, with occasional driving duties.
