Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our behavioral health programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and annual history and physical evaluations, assess patient eligibility for treatment, and evaluate patients' history of dependence on opioids.
  • Order and review laboratory studies, provide necessary education, referral, and follow-up services to patients, and monitor treatment plans for high-risk patients.
  • Prescribe medication for substance abuse treatment according to patient need and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to plan and implement care according to Nurse Practitioner Guidelines.
  • Report and document significant patient issues and adverse events, communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with laws and clinic policies.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing nurse practitioner preferred.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred.
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse for three years before employment.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensed to practice in the state in which the clinic operates.
  • DEA license.
