Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and families, providing administrative support and ensuring efficient operations and patient flow.
  • Perform check-in duties, including verifying patient demographics and insurance eligibility, processing authorization forms, and collecting co-payments.
  • Complete patient pre-registration, verifying insurance eligibility and contacting patients with questions or concerns.
  • Check out patients upon appointment completion, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide necessary paperwork.
  • Answer phones, route communication, and document patient interactions in a timely manner.
  • Manage incoming mail and fax documents, process medical record requests and referrals, and perform end-of-day reconciliation of cash and credit card payments.
  • Perform general office duties, including document preparation, scanning, and filing, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, providing a positive patient experience across the organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; two-year college degree preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a healthcare facility or strong customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to utilize computer programs.
