  • Respond to critical incidents on and around campus, including emergencies, evacuations, and policy violations, while coordinating with law enforcement.
  • Accurately document routine and unusual events, ensuring all reports are thorough and timely.
  • Perform bag checks and other inspections to prevent unauthorized items from entering or leaving the property.
  • Conduct inspections of buildings, fire watch duties, and audits.
  • Engage with students, faculty, and visitors, providing exceptional guest service and demonstrating extensive knowledge of the campus and its amenities.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Guard Card
  • Current driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Proficient computer skills, including typing and navigating multiple computer systems
  • Knowledge of CCTV equipment, access controls, alarm monitoring, and computer databases
  • Bilingual abilities are preferred
  • Previous experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or related Public Safety roles
  • Experience in security responsibilities for multi-site campus facilities, preferably in a corporate or college setting
  • Full availability for any shift, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is preferred
  • Physical ability to sit at a desk for majority of shift, responding intermittently about the Dorms, standing and walking on shift on various surfaces (concrete, carpet, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
