Job Summary:

The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of auto and marine loans. This role involves engaging with customers to provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues related to loan accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lending laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with customers to provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries related to loan accounts
Collaborate with management and team members to accurately and efficiently assist customers
Make collection counseling calls for past due consumer loans and work with the default servicing team to refer seriously delinquent accounts
Prepare verbal and written payoff quotes and process payoff transactions in the core servicing system
Send welcome letters and emails to new loan customers and monitor insurance coverage on marine loans
Perform system maintenance as needed, including payment corrections, address changes, and loan coding corrections

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in consumer loan servicing and a strong understanding of lending laws and regulations. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Encompass, Cleartouch, and Nautilus software is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a bachelor's degree in finance is preferred.
