We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Select and operate technical factors for CT examinations, ensuring optimal image quality
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Administer contrast media and other related procedures as needed
- Document patient information, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields in our electronic medical record system
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
- Remain up-to-date with changes in the field, attending courses or seminars as necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and radiologists to ensure seamless patient care
- Check and maintain equipment, ensuring cleanliness and preventing cross-contamination
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus college/technical training
- Valid ARRT (CT) certification
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Minimum of 1 year current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
