Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The front desk serves as the initial and final point of contact for members and potential members visiting the facility. Exceptional customer service is essential in welcoming and assisting individuals as they arrive and depart. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a clean and secure environment by confirming membership status.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acting as the main customer service hub for the facility, which includes warmly greeting all members and guests, addressing inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Managing incoming calls, including answering, transferring, and taking messages as necessary.
  • Coordinating personal training sessions as directed by the Personal Training Sales Director.
  • Verifying member access through identification and account checks, and registering guests in accordance with established protocols.
  • Promoting the club's services, products, and events through active engagement with members and guests.
  • Maintaining a tidy and professional front desk area, while also assisting with the upkeep of other areas within the facility as needed.
  • Keeping track of inventory for supplies and forms, and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Participating in mandatory meetings and training sessions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (if not already certified, must obtain certification within the first 60 days of employment).
  • Consistently exhibit a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using basic office equipment (e.g., fax machines, copiers, multi-line phone systems).
  • Previous experience in a customer service role (e.g., hospitality, retail).
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with cash registers is advantageous.
  • Friendly and approachable personality.
  • Genuine interest in the fitness and wellness industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, team members are frequently required to walk and stand for extended periods, as well as sit for longer durations.
