Responsibilities
  • Perform entry-level professional work, including developmental assignments, under direct supervision, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out routine engineering tasks.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations and studies to identify design improvement alternatives, compare options, and assist in making design recommendations related to water conveyance systems.
  • Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, perform site visits, and review survey data to plan and assemble construction documents.
  • Prepare plans for routine projects under the direction of a project engineer or senior CADD technician.
  • Assist in the preparation of quantity estimates.
  • Prepare ARC GIS Exhibits.
  • Perform field work and site reconnaissance.
  • Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned, as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Understand the concepts of public water and wastewater works.
  • Understand surveying and basic engineering terminology.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • EIT Certification or passing the FE Exam within 6 months of start.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Knowledge of ARC GIS.
  • Valid driver's license.
